And this is why you should always save your work.




I had put in about 8 hours on a storyboard of the first part of this scene from Lord of the Rings. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTVHAIHDRcg It was almost finished, but then my comp crashed and now it's completely gone. So was my Thumbelina storyboard. Ugh. I'm just going to have to redo them.

But here's the first Thumbelina draft I did.

I ended up doing a different, less complicated, LOTR scene.

Rado Javor does some incredible digital paintings. What really stands out to me are his use of color and lighting, so I tried to incorporate those into my piece.

Emily Cicierega's work always reads as warm, innocent, charming, and fun. I tried to incorporate her use of color, line, and gesture.
